Wild Wednesday roll call

Good morning everyone - no snow down my way or in King of Prussia, thank goodness. Really don't want to see any more of that white stuff this year, but I see the weather people are talking about some more coming through Sunday? Mother Nature needs to get her act together and bring on spring!

Hubby went back to work today - he's using a cane to get around. I think he and I have some serious talking to do this weekend. He's going to be 73 this year and while his health has been very good I can tell working full-time is really beginning to wear on him - his job was only supposed to be part-time but of course he's working 5 days most weeks. Granted it is desk job but there is still the stress of getting things done and doing a good job. So we really need to sit down and evaluate our retirement plans - because as much as I like the people I work with I'm not happy at my job anymore either - I'm bored - I'm lonely - and I'm sick of the lousy commute.

And now I'm done whining.

Today is physical therapy day - it's more like work-out day because I do get a great work-out while I'm there - last night I rode my recumbant bike for a while - knees were too sore to do the other stuff. But I did something - slowly working my way back into working out.

and that's about it for me...Kathy

Do you work in KOP?  I pass through there on my way to and from work.. my trek is from Yardley to West Chester.. so I hear ya re: lousy commutes! We should schedule a KOP centric after work get together one of these days..

Hoping that all goes well on the work front with your husband!

I live down below West Chester and come up to KOP - I work across the street from the convention center - maybe we should exchange jobs!! LOL! Your's may even be longer than mine - ugh. One of my bff's lives in Yardley - lovely area up there.

I could do an after-work get-together - just give me advance notice because hubby works up here too and we commute together - we could drive separately that day.

Working a half day from home and then heading to Vermont with Mark and our friends George and Lori.  We are staying at a ski in/ski out, so I'm very excited - we got it really cheap since it is the end of the season.  It is a condo right at Killington!    This will be the last hurrah of the season.  They are supposed to get a few inches of snow overnight - yay!

Trish - am hoping your tow is better soon!  Lisa - am glad that incentive day 1 is working out!

That's all that is going on with me..

xoxo,

Maura

Good morning, friends!  Work and AA today.  Not much of a plan, huh?  Nothing exciting happening here, which can really be a good thing.  Went to another OA last night and met a woman who also has a house down in North Wildwood, so we are already planning to get together to walk on the beach this summer.  I'm pledging 24 hours of sobriety and sane eating today.

Blessings, Jill

Good Morning Ida and PA!!

Ida, the pics of you and Gene are so nice!! You two make a really cute couple!

Lisa, glad that day one worked out well. Hopefully she will continue on that path!!

Today is wor****il 3:30, then home to watch my soap, pick up the girls, make dinner, help Dee with her homework, then relax and bed!

I was talking with one of the Instructional aides at school yesterday and she gave me a really nice compliment. She said that it is obvious that I LOVE what I do and the kids LOVE coming to band and being part of it!! She said that I make a difference in their lives! YEAH ME!!! I am also becoming involved with 8th grade promotion. Should be a fun and exhausting experience, but I have done promotions before so I know what to expect.

Have a great day everyone! Those that live North and West of the city PLEASE be careful!!!

Love, Beth

Good morning Ida and all of PA -

Well - Larry and I have our new phones and I have NO idea who called it a smart phone - but boy do I feel stupid!  I know I will figure it out - but - until then....oy!  I have already sent the wrong text, muted someone and ignored someone else....whatever - at least  I can get facebook on there....you know...priorities! :)

I am at school today, NO TESTING!!!!!!  Which of course means - oh crap - I need to teach something....I think I forget how to do that! :)  After school, I am headed to the pool.  I can't seem to find my MP3 Player charger - so I am hopeful that I have SOME juice left to get me through.  Then headed home to hang with Larry and the kids for dinner - then Larry and I are off to our parenting seminar.  Larry will go to work and I am going to hang out with a friend tonight.  Should be an interesting day to say the least!

Hope your Wednesday is a good one! :)

Hi everyone! What a gloomy morning - we haven't seen snow but...the rain is looking a little "thick" out there if you know what I mean. I postponed my trip to the gym to this evening - but then realized I am missing my favorite instructor/trainer this morning. Ah well, at least I'll go!

I got a pair of the new balance version of the "shape up" walking shoes. Found them at TJ Maxx for $25. They are amazingly comfortable, but what really surprises me is that I FEEL something different in my hamstrings and butt after wearing them for a couple of days. Anyone else try these?

I may order a new dress today for Easter. For years, Mike has wanted me to get "a nice dress" for spring. But of course, when you wear size enormous....anything other than the typical black suit made me feel like an Easter egg. And anything with short sleeves...forget it. So spring clothes were never my favorite. I saw this dress in a fb post from a friend....what a deal! What do you guys think?

Other than that, have to get at some work today after a day on the road yesterday.

Keep warm everyone!
